Mid Night Scribbles

About control and letting yourself go.

Hey,

How was your day? Hope, it was great and that you ate a lot of fries and listened to some new songs.

I’ll write this post in a very informal tone. I actually have no clue how to write this one. All I want to tell you about in this post is that, if you think growing up is great and that all your problems would be solved magically the day you became an adult. Well, take this from this adult, I wish I could just return to my old cartoon watching days. College and the pressure to become and do something great in life just eats you up. I am hungry, exhausted and I want a chocolate lollipop. I still have tonnes of assignments and projects to complete and a blog to manage, plus social life and oh, taking care of myself ( which gets .01% attention).

You have ‘work’ things and ‘deadlines’ to deal with when you grow up. It is scary at times. You’ll have days when you’ll be doing nothing and would feel completely useless.

It is scary but it is not that bad. I mean, yea my old days watching Pokemon at 5 and then going out to play and coming back home to mom’s delicious food, are no doubt, the best. (Mommy if you are reading this, come here and cook me some Paranthas 😦  ) . But growing up is all about discovering yourself and living the moments and the new things you get to experience.

The one big mistake that you might be making here is, either taking yourself too seriously or letting go of yourself completely.

Work, fulfill your dreams but don’t be so tied up. Letting yourself go sometimes is okay. Don’t be bothered about social media, keep your phone shut and watch some great movie while gulping down some wine. You need to relax. Stop being so scared what will happen to your CGPA, future, blah, blah, blah.

“Look at you. You’re young. And you’re scared. Why are you so scared? Stop being paralyzed. Stop eating your own words. Stop caring what others may think. Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to the music you want to listen to. Play it loud as fuck and dance to it. Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have college the next day. Stop waiting for Friday. Live now. Do it now. Take risks. Tell secrets. This life is yours. When are you going to realize that you can do whatever you want? ”

You’ll learn from mistakes and this is your age to make some. LET YOURSELF GO, SOMETIMES.

And now speaking of control, don’t be tots bonkers. Keep yourself in check with your goals.

I am off to completing my report which is due tomorrow and then I’ll probably order some Mc burgers and watch a great movie.

Love,

P.s- It is the end of my second year of college and we are bombarded with projects. Please, be with me. I’ll be back with full force, bringing you some quality content to keep you entertained. I am here and I am here to stay for a long haul. Just, juggling so many things together becomes tough at times. I love you and I love how you guys keep sending me messages, which makes my day. Keep doing that, gypsies! ❤
