#KISSMYAIRS W/ NIKE

March was the month of Air.
Nike had been putting sealed air units in shoes since 1979, starting with the Nike Air Tailwind. The idea behind putting air in a midsole, proposed by a NASA engineer named Frank Rudy, was that it would be theoretically lighter than midsole foam, and would not wear out or break down like foam either.
Air has been an integral part of Nike ever since . For the first eight years it was hidden, felt rather than seen. Then, in 1987, it became visible with Air Max. The revolution had begun. It quickly spread, from running to basketball to training and tennis, at the same time becoming a coveted lifestyle product across the globe. After 30 years, Air Max continues to evolve.

On March 26, 2017, we observe Air Max Day by marking the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1, the shoe that pushed Air Innovation to new heights.
To celebrate this, Nike launched a new line mixed of retro and new innovations. This fresh line of Air included the long awaited Nike Air VaporMax.

A media preview of the same (+ the other new Nike releases) was arranged on 30th March, 2017 at Palladium Mall in Mumbai.

The idea for the event was to showcase running in it’s most fun way in, of course, the new nikes! We could try the new collection and test them on the obstacle course, set up there, and then the most traditional way, on the treadmill. *see the little happy hobo down there testing the new Nike RN 2017* *in my defence, I got all sweaty & unkept on that hot afternoon 🙈*

I am not a runner. *More of a stay on my bed, eat Nutella straight out of the jar kinda person.* But I do like to get some excersise from time to time to maintain a level of fitness. When we go out to buy a pair of shoes, we often make the mistake of buying the wrong fit and then that leads to leg cramps later on.
The New Nike Free RN 2017 are perfect for training and running. It is very light (I mean I was feeling like I was wearing another pair of socks), durable and stylish. It is fun to run in. The engineered mesh upper brings flexible, supportive, and breathable coverage.

NIKE AIR VAPORMAX

PLATINUM

The shoe was set up on a small magnet, floating on air, to show the lightness of this beauts.

Welcome to the rebirth of Air. With a flexible Flyknit upper atop a radically reinvented Air cushioning system, the Nike Air VaporMax reignites the Air Revolution, delivering a sensation underfoot that seems to defy gravity. It is the lightest max air cushioning platform to date.

NIKE CORTEZ

Nike Sportswear bought back the iconic runner and Forrest Gump favorite in a number of new and old constructions alike. The 1972 silhouette is currently celebrating 45 years putting in work in the lifestyle department and the Swoosh is rewarding the Cortez with this OG Pack featuring a return to original materials ranging from nylon, premium leather, suede, and more in 3 simple and timeless colorways.
You make your choice now. Which one is gonna grace your shoe collection this summer?
