Breaking the term “luxury fashion” into two separate words gives you the true essence behind it. In reality, everyone subjects luxury fashion to just over expensive purchases. But if you hear it from the right people, then you will get it.
Luxury is the freedom to live your life the way you want to. It’s the freedom to ride your bike down the beach and letting the breeze hit you. It is this feeling of happiness that you get being you. Now when this term is mixed with fashion it gives you a whole new concoction.
Fashion is such a powerful medium to express yourself. You can dress powerful, slouchy, sexy, modest and what not. All of these words are adjectives. An attribute that one has and we all tend to express it via fashion, some way or the other.
It gives you an identity.
Franca Sozzani rightfully penned down what the two powerful words give you when you put them together:
“Luxury is research, the chance to experience new routes, to find new and not predictable or already seen solutions. Experimentations are luxury. And it’s a fortune finding them and being able to have them. There are for example dresses which really give you the feeling of luxury for the way they have been made, for the quality of manufacturing, whilst some other expensive and intricate work are just opulent. Same for jewelry, shoes, accessories. “
With that thought in my mind, I picked up some outfits from the finest in the market: Aprere and began my experimentation. You see, I am one flip.
I find my unique identity in always striving for something new. I hate being boring. My experimental self helps me lead a colorful life and the fact that I could afford fine fashion pieces that define quality craftsmanship to help me express myself; is where I find my true luxury. So, “Luxury Fashion” plays a powerful part in my life.
Thank you to Ridge and his sister, Shanyce Fernandes. The ease, understanding and creativity was on such a flow that day. The location provided us to by The Third Floor in Colaba, Mumbai added the cherry on the top. Every corner of that place embarked a feeling that led us to creating photos which speak for itself.
