Viral Instagram Makeup Trends

There’s a quality of legend about freaks.Like a person in a fairy tale who stops you and demands that you answer a riddle. Most people go through life dreading they’ll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They’ve already passed their test in life. They’re aristocrats \\

I personally believe that a person who has  accepted the weirdness in itself, holds the power of creating out of the box trends. Speaking about trends, we did our research on some of the ‘Viral Instagram Makeup Trends’; The wavy eyebrow trend and the ‘shine like a disco ball trend.’

We tried out these two makeup looks and were quite happy with the outcome. Scroll below to see the video on how we created these two looks and how you can do it too!

The Wavy Eyebrow Trend

Recently, increasing numbers of beauty bloggers and vloggers have been seen sporting squiggle brows online.
They create them by shaping the brows with washable glue rather than plucking hairs, so you can go back to normal brows easily if you decide the snake brow look isn’t for you.

This is what you need to create this look (step wise):-
1) Primer (We used Marie Claire Professional Makeup Primer)*

2) Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

3) LA Girl HD Pro Concealer

4) Deborah Eyebrow Perfect kit

5) Use your concealer to enhace your wavy eyebrows even more.

6) MAC  Compact Beauty Powder

7) MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick

8) Red Lip Glitter Dust

9) LA Girl Highlighter

*(These were the makeup products which we used to create this look. You can use whatever products you want, that can give you the same results as the above.)
While some congratulate the beauty bloggers for their skill and artistry and think it’s a cool look, others think squiggle brows and lips are just a bit ridiculous.

Whether anyone is actually wearing these looks outside of their bedrooms remains to be seen, but online they’re certainly making, ahem, waves.

The Glossy Makeup Look

Over the past few years people have been obsessed with the matte makeup look. Of course, matte makeup is great and looks very sophisticated, but because of this obsession with matte makeup, we ended up forgetting just how great glossy makeup can look.

Isn’t lip gloss the first thing that every girl buys when she starts out with makeup?

In the 90s, the glossy makeup look was the only look. After that, somehow, matte lipsticks and matte effect foundations gained immense popularity, along with contouring and other complicated forms of makeup.

If you’d like to try out a fun look in very little time, then do keep reading. Keep in mind that this look is best for people with dry skin.
What’s so cool about glossy lids is that you can literally pair the look with everything. Try a sheer glossy lid paired with tinted moisturizer, light mascara and a peachy blush to be school, office or weekend brunch appropriate.

I believe that this look can work from day till night. We tried the dripping gloss effect on the lip but that was just to create a more dramatic effect for the blog. You can just swipe up some gloss, normally and set yourself to get going!

To tell you a little about the people behind this project:-

Mariyam Riyaz Nadia is a MUA based in Mumbai. She reached out to me via mail for a collaboration and I had to say yes! I mean look at how she killed it at creating these two looks.

The person behind the camera is Sanket S Kamble, based in Mumbai, doing photography out of it’s passion for it.

I love to collaborate with people from whom I can learn a thing or two. Needless to say, this project is now one of most favourite beauty projects I have ever done!
If you liked these two looks then please give this post a thumbs up! Subcribe to my blog and YouTube channel for more posts.

Much Love,
