The beach makes me feel alive in a deep calm way. A state of mental tranquility, I would say. Standing beside a vast ocean brings inevitable awareness of this great, big world and your teensy, tiny place in it.
Our life is like a book. The title page is your name, the preface your introduction. The pages are a record of your daily efforts, trials, pleasures, achievement, and discouragements. Day by day your thoughts and acts are being inscribed in the book. A lot of other people shall be guest starring in too. Some shall make it to Chapter 2 and some till ‘the end’. However, one person will remain constant. The one who is writing it. You. *unless you are hit by a car or something. just kidding..
In this book of life, mention the blue oceans and the vast amount of life in it. Mention the jungles and it’s beauty for holding all that fauna and flora. Mention the people that surround you. The people who inspire, cry, laugh, work and love just like you. You are just a teensy in this infinite space, but that doesn’t mean you are not important. Let go of thinking there is only one purpose for you and embrace the idea that our purpose in life is to love life fully by putting ourselves into our life. Paralyzing yourself with bad memories, broken attachments and failures is not an option as they are nothing but just chapters (& lessons) in your book.
I slowly opened my eyes. Clenching fists, holding the sand. I watched it all fall slowly out of my hands. Just like time. I sat there again, starring at the wide ocean in front of me, embracing its beauty one more time before my departure. And, even though I was all alone, I felt complete. I felt that I was enough.
Our time is less but once the word finish is written, make sure that it contains records of noble purpose, generous service and work well done.
With this final thought, I bid adieu to the beautiful Goa, thanking her for once again for making me feel complete.
